American Cinema Editors educational center sponsors a yearly internship program for college graduates seeking a career in film editing. If you are already an apprentice or assistant film editor, please do not apply. The program takes place in February of each year. Each intern spends one week with three editors – one episodic, one long form television and one feature. There are also field trips to post-production related facilities. There is no charge for the program. Minimum requirements for the program are a BA Degree and experience on non-linear digital editing equipment. The deadline for applications is November 1st of every year. Finalists will be selected and contacted for further information in December and will be interviewed in January. Two or three interns are selected each year. If you are not selected, you may reapply to the program if your experience changes. Thank you for your interest in the ace internship program.
